J&J Contractors, Inc. was contracted by  BBIX, LLC for the construction of the new United States Land Port of Entry in Bridgewater, ME.

A design build project, The New Land Port of Entry consists of a 7,500 SF wood framed port building and separate 2100 SF inspection garage. Built for the Department of Homeland Security’s Custom and Border Protection, its’ located on approximately 10 acres of a 21 acre site adjacent to the existing Land Port of Entry.

As part of the solicitation, the existing port and amenities were demolished and disposed of.

During the design phase, J&J worked cohesively with BBIX, the government, and all stack-holders to ensure constructability and design within the project scope and construction budget.

The scope of work for the construction phase includes the demolition of existing structures, site and civil work, utility installation and relocation, landscaping, foundations, steel and concrete structures, mechanical and electrical work, interior finishes, physical and electronic security, traffic design and roadway construction, and concrete and asphalt paving.
